I try.

I try to work. I write lists of what I need to do, I just don't really know where to start and my head gets confused. Once I feel like I have a deadline really close, then I work. Hehe. So, since I have exhausted looking at tops I started looking at leggings. Here are my favourites. :P Not sure I'd wear Leopard print ones...but maybe! :P

If...

...I bought all the clothes I have bookmarked it would cost me £501, and I would own 9 new tops, 7 new pairs of leggings, 3 new skirts and 1 jumpsuit. I would also own too much. Hehe. :)

Yeah, working on essays is a little hard. :P

My Life is Average.

Today James sent me a link to this. It made me happy. :)

And more!

Last night I kept looking at tops. I think because I'm not the biggest fan of the shops in Durham I get my clothes fantasy inspiration from websites instead! I do love dreaming of clothes. Ahhhhh. Yeah, so anyways here are some more lovelies. :)
Blush Frill Layered Tunic Top, £55. I'd wear it with a waist coat, or long necklace, or both.

Cotton Babydoll Top, £24.

African Print Cutout Hem Hanky Hen Top (Wooo long name!), £20.
I'm liking the floaty top look, have I said that yet?

More tops.

So I looked at the tops I posted last time, and asked some people what they thought, and decided the only one I really liked was the first top. And since have realised I do like floaty tops, with jeans or leggings or jean leggings (I think they are called jeggings...but that just sounds silly to me). So I started looking at other tops. I'm not like totally convinced by them, like some I see myself wearing one day and then kind of dislike the next. Hehe. I think I like the first and last the most, but I'm never totally sure what I think most the time! :P
Crochet Back Top, £28.

Georgette Ruffle Longline Blouse, £14.

Karen Millen Embroidered Top, £50.

Premium Printed Cutwork Halter Top, £40.
I am feeling better about exams, retail therapy helps. :P

So...

I don't know if I am stressed or not. I mean I am quite happy most of the time, but I had a little meltdown today and I am not entirely sure why. Miriam and Sasha reckon I am stressed and it's possible. I've never felt properly stressed about exams before, but then I've never felt an actual need to study before. It's kind of sad, and I hate having to say it, but I haven't actually ever studied before, I've just relied on what I've remembered from the year or classes. I am one of those annoying people with a photographic memory and who just seems to know stuff. You may hate me, I probably would. But I'm not sure it's the fact that I feel I need to study that is getting to me. It's the first time I've been in a stressful environment during exams. I mean before university I was at home, where there was always someone who didn't have exams who was calm and ready to relax and have fun who I could go talk to. But here, people seem to work a lot, and we can't watch TV at night without putting the TV on mute during breaks because everyone is reading notes. It's just not fun. And I am slightly worried I may not have passed Linear Algebra. It's not too hard to pass, but I really didn't like it, it was hard, and I am scared I didn't pass. I think that is getting to me most. I've never had this feeling before, and it would sort of ruin my visit to see James. URGH! Yeah...so that's my thoughts. :)

Maths is over...

for this year! Hehe. I'm not too sure I did amazingly well in my last Maths exam, I'm actually not certain I passed. I hate being able to do the homework and tutorial questions and then having no idea how to do the exam ones...I mean I've never seen an inner product expressed as a matrix before! So had no idea what to do, I tried thinking logically...nothing. :P Ho hum, all over. Education exams next. Meeting Sonya to talk ICE. Yay! :)

Toodles!

Prettyful

The little things again. :) Hehe. These flowers take up a very little amount of our ugly front garden. They sure are pretty though, especially with those lovely red leaves around them. :)
Gots to get studying. I don't really want to. I have this feeling of nervous and annoyance inside me. :P I do like Linear Algebra, and it is quite simple once you get into it, but reading all the theorems with no names and rules and stuff...omg it's sounding so much more complicated! Oh well. I'll pass. :P

Sunday 23 May 2010

Oh my days.

I have another exam on Tuesday, not done much in the way of revising yet. Sometimes I feel like I am not revising enough, since the rest of my house appear to be revising most of the time, even when we're watching TV in the evening. Hehe, but I know I have time, and I enjoy my exams and the exam time but still make sure I know my stuff. I don't think I want to have to work hard to do well, unless I enjoy working hard, in which case it isn't really working hard it's just doing something I enjoy. I may have a sort of unrealistic view that you should enjoy what you are doing with your life, I don't really care about success and money if you don't enjoy doing whatever it is that is getting you success and money. (although money is a nice thing to have).

Anyhoo, enough about exams. I kind of would like to have a Trilby hat, I think they are cool. I don't know if it would suit me, or if I'd want to wear one normally, but I would like to "experiment" with it. :P Hehe.
See, so cool. :P (from weheartit.com). Oh and did you see the Gossip Girl finale? Omg, so much stress, I think I was freaking out the whole way through. Some girl watched it before a maths exam for "relaxation", I totally understand why she said it was a bad idea!

Ooo, and Rogue has been mating. First with the really big annoying Tabby, who is a sort of unlovable version of Stroke (our cat at home home) and now with the adorable Ginger cat. We like the Ginger cat. Hehe. But yeah, Rogue has been acting a bit odd because of all this. :P

I think that is it as far as my life goes at the moment. :) Toodles.

Beautiful photo

I took it on the 20th, sooo Thursday. :) Looked out the window and saw how gorgeous it was outside with the pink just behind the cute trees on the horizon so ran to get my camera. :) Am very happy I did. I love this photo.

Finger love.

I have seen photos similar to this and decided at some point I want to take some like it, just need to find a pen that will write on my fingers. :) Thought I'd share because I think they are quite adorable.

Cooking lunch for my friends today since they all had morning exams. Hope you all have good days!

On-line window shopping

When I get bored, or frustrated, or just don't want to work I like to look at clothes. I'm sure I have said this before. Well, anyways I have started bookmarking them too now and thought as I have pretty much seen the whole of asos.com the only thing left to do was share my favourites here. :) I've been very picky and tried VERY hard to choose things that I genuinely think I would wear, so tada:

(The photo may be bad quality, I accidentally deleted Photoshop and am not re-installing it until exams are over)

Argh!

Basketball politics are crappy. I'm not sure if you can call them politics, but out of all the college sports they sure do lack some clear cut rules that people have to follow, and it turns out anyone can just e-mail in claiming to have played a game and then their team will be given the points even if it was already official that they were walked-over.

I'm planning to be one evil co-captain next year and most probably in doing so make all other colleges hate me, but I don't really care, I already have enough amazing friends. :D

Exam today!

Here is a really ugly upset/nervous face about my exam today! Hehe. All I have done is write out the 100000000 theorems for this module. I will now have some more coffee, read through homeworks and tutorial questions, look at the 100000000 theorems again and then see if I am able to answer some past papers. Hopefully this will be enough to pass. :)

Exams are so silly and pointless, why do we even need a degree to work? I have comforted myself with the fact that even if I only get a third, which would mean I can not to a PGCE, I will be a secretary or something of that kind, because I know I enjoy that and hopefully being organised and nice is all I need! :P

Off to get some coffee!

Tuesday 18 May 2010

BOOM

I am a huge fan of doing fun things. :D Especially when studying needs to be done.

Exams are poo

Yesterday I had my first exam. It went ok, but to be honest I am pretty useless at knowing what is a good or a bad exam...except when I don't answer any questions. I felt like this leaving most of my exams last year and I did well in some and not so well in other. So we'll see. :) Just hoping I pass really.

I have another exam tomorrow, maths again. I don't like having so many maths exams. Hehe. Should have maybe started my studying yesterday since I haven't looked at this subject yet, but thought that drawing a picture and having a glass of wine was a much more useful use of my time. :D And I'm not stressed so it can't have been a bad use. I have a plan too! Although I rarely stick to my plans, but I'm going to note down the general topics that turn up and write out all the theorems and stuff to put on my wall and stare at in confusion by 13:00, then QUESTION PRACTICE! Oh the thrills of being at uni!

I should probably get working, already spent 2 hours of my morning sitting around doing next to nothing!
Toodles!

Hair

So on Thursday I dyed my hair...and now that I have an exam tomorrow I think it is the ideal time to share some photos! They aren't great, I mean I somehow look scared in the first photo below...but oh well you get the idea of the colour, right? It's not exactly the colour I thought it would be, it looked paler on the box, I think, maybe I was seeing things, but I do love it anyways! It feels more grown up, or something, I'm not quite sure what but I do like what I see when I look in the mirror, so that's got to be good. :) The above photos gives you a better idea of the redish tint, the bottom two show the kind of darkeness in contrast with my face. :P I'm just rambling now. What do you think?

In terms of mathness and being prepared for the exams I think I can definitely pass, and once I look over a few more things (ie. do question practice to make sure I can do them, because knowing the stuff is never good enough in maths) then I think I can get 60%+ which will be good, I would be very happy with that. :)

Mmm desserts!

I like my desserts. Not too much, and not too often. I like them as treats. I do however LOVE making them lots, and looking at wonderful pictures of them. As my break from work I went browsing through weheartit.com looking at yummy desserts, here are some of my favourites.
The above photo and the three below looked quite similar to me, so I followed a link to this blog, which is omg so pretty and inspiring (did I ever mention I love decorating?), and through her found the original source: Amy Atlas. Loving her. Such pretty desserts and such amazing colours. :)

Thoughts

I think I put myself down quite a bit. Like I keep saying I haven't studied and have done next to no work, but I have done some stuff and am slowly taking in all the equations I need to know, and bit by bit going through past questions, I just feel like I am doing it at a slower pace than others. Maybe it's because some of the people I watch study do more essay based subjects so just reading pages seems like loads of work compared to writing out simple derivatives. (Yeah my maths has been failing so much I forgot most of the simple derivatives...which I found out sounds like the most complicated things to have to know as simple maths for people not so good at maths.)

Anyways, in my last lecture today our lecturer said something about stress being caused primarily by not feeling in control. So maybe I'm not stressed because some how I feel like I am on top of things. Maybe.

I know I think to much, and analyse too much, and talk too much. But that's me, so I'm not really feeling a need to change it. :)

GLEE TONIGHT! Yay. Enjoy your weekend, maybe soon I'll distract myself from studies by finding some inspiring pictures to post here. :)
Toodles.

Make please!

I want to make these please! (from weheartit.com)

Hehe, work is going SO WELL! :P I went to coffee with Sonya and then came home and took refuge in the living room with my computer and TV. :P Tomorrow! Or something like that! Man I do really need to get my groove on! Sure it will kick in soon. :)

Study

I am trying to study...but, urm finding it rather dull. I don't think I love maths that much, or at least not when I have to cram my head full of equations and little things like dx/dt is parallel to the tangent of x...I probably should know these things already but my brain fails at wanting to contain these pieces of information. I did manage to draw a rather cool picture of me not enjoying maths though, making me think about how much I enjoy art thus making studying maths that much worse. Hehe. Go me.
I have managed to confuse myself about what I want to teach, Primary or Maths. Why can I not decide?

Anyhoo, here is a picture of something I was oh so VERY excited to get in my little package from James. :) It's got some pretty inspiring quotes in it too. Will share at some point later! :D
Should probably get back to some maths now...Oh yay!

Picnic

College Day photos as promised. The weather wasn't as pleasant as it could have been, but I think we all enjoyed ourselves. :D Off to a lunch now!
