Where is it coming from?

Theres more snow today. It's been either sunny or snowing heavily. Some lectures have been cancelled, some stores are closed. It's quite nice. I was one of the lucky students whose lecture was cancelled today so have been having quite a relaxed day. I needed some groceries, so used it as an excuse to go out and take some photos. Here are my favourites...notice the weather changed quite a bit whilst I was out!
(I snuck into Castle for the snowman photo...I feel sneaky going inside, we're probably allowed but was still thrilling!)

Had me some warm tomato soup and cheese after that walk. :) Cozy times.

I do love Kookai

They recently, as in the past 10mins, put this gorgeous jumper up on their Facebook page (yes I follow them on Facebook, there clothes are just so me ok?) and gar, I want it. Why do all their clothes have to be so lovely looking? I love all their stuff, I know certain items won't suit me, but I still love the look...it's probably really unhealthy for me to stalk them so much, plus their opening a UK online store soon...hopefully I won't give in to internet shopping.

Time to go face the snow to buy some food. Lectures have been cancelled for the first time in my 2/3 years here, snow is deep! Am taking my camera. :D
Toodles.

Weathers ups and downs.

The weather changed quite a bit today. When we went off to basketball it was snowing and cloudy, then on the way back beautiful like above, then like below, then like above, then like below....

Our walk to "basketball"...

The boys had a match at 16:00 and we wanted to go support them. I had contacted Team Durham to check matches weren't cancelled due to the snow and they said they hadn't so we headed of at 15:30. Our little adventure:
I love the houses along Claypath, they are so mismatch and colourful. :) Looks even prettier with snow on the roofs.
The sky was really pretty behind the Cathedral too, I do love Durham. :)
Around this part of the walk we got calls to say that the matches had been cancelled because Maiden Castle has closed so it's staff could get home safely. Yay, night in with X factor. Good times, so we enjoyed out little walk and took some more photos. :)
Cathedral again, so pretty, eee. :)
And then Adrienne made her very first Snow Angel. YAY! Hehe, she's so cute!
And then off to home.

Our mat outside the house has frozen under the snow. You may refer to my photo from Thursday to see how it has changed. :) I'm loving the snow...it may get annoying soon, but so far it's been beautiful and not too cold. :D

Christmas warmth

Warm Christmas photos. I love the traditional reds, golds (including orange glows) and greens. Mmmm, so snuggly. :)
Has the Coca-Cola ad always signalled it's Christmas? So many people this year have updated their facebook statuses to say that they've seen the ad and it must be Christmas. It's the first year I've heard anyone say this, and for quite a few people to say it I feel like it can't be a coincident. Have I missed some kind of Christmas memo?
1 month of Christmassy joy until the day. :)

First Snow this Season - and Thursday Dress day

I wore my lovely tartany dress from Kookai today. :) Layered it over some 'jeggings' (but proper ones...not those ones you can see through which really should be treated just like leggings, these ones get mistaken for jeans...clarifying because I HATE the legging jeggings) and white long sleeve top. Wrapped up warm with a cardigan, and my HUGE, cozy blue cardigan, warm red scarf and winter boots. :) I felt prepared for the snow. :D It was lovely.
I left for my seminar early this morning so that I had time to take photos on the way. I was hoping to get a lovely snowy photo of the Cathedral and Castle, but the snow was heavy and it was cloudy so all I got was this. But if you look carefully you can see the faint outline.
I got to my seminar EARLY, so wondered around the Education Department to see what cute little things I could take photos of.
I went in to my seminar at about 5 to 9, no-one was there...I was starting to wonder if I had the wrong room (wouldn't have been the first time), but no...people were just late because of the snow. Yay! :) After the seminar I had a lecture, so walked on over to that taking photos. I love snow. :)
The moon was visible, and large. REALLY pretty, I am glad I didn't miss it. I'm quite fond of the photo below.

On the way back the sun had come out so everything was looking extra pretty. It's lovely seeing people getting all excited about snow, having snow fights, etc. Really does feel like Christmas is soon (1 month!!! eee!).
So those are my snowy photos from today. We have to somehow go to a formal tonight...that'll be fun in heels! I'll be back later with some warm Christmassy photos to celebrate 1 month until that awesome day!
